[mythtv] Frontend 20s delay before playback

HI!

Sometimes, when starting playback on a remote frontend (playing over
NFS) of a prerecorded show, there is a 20-30s delay before playing
actually starts.

It's not exactly reproducable, it just happens on some show and when I
try again on the same show, it works OK.

It only happens on the remote frontend, not on the backend.

I already checked the database and tried to repair table recordedmarkup.
I can backup the db without problems.

There is absolutely no error message in the backend or frontend logs.

This is frontend log with verbose playback (note the delay after
"Using..."):

If there were a problem with the backend or network, I guess there
should be the "Prebuffering pause" message in the frontend log. So it
must be something with the frontend.

Info:
- Myth 0.16
- Fedora Core 2
- kernel 2.6.10-1.9_FC2
- NVidia 6629
- use video as timebase
- extra audio buffer
- kernel deint
- shows recorded with PVR-350
- ivtv 0.2.0rc3c

Any hints would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Thomas
