Hi, Sorry for barging in, but there is a project called mpeg2cut2 http://www.geocities.com/rocketjet4/ I have used this for quite some time on windows. And the source code is available too. See if some part of it can be taken out to make it command line and linux compatible. I am just giving an idea. Regards from Vijay Gill
