Well I guess what I'm saying is that even in the OSD mode I still have
something like the "grid" model in mind. I still feel like I'm going "up" or
"down" a certain distance. Not just changing a number.

Well apparently there's at least one other person since I'm not the original

Actually I don't mind the "up" key wrapping around to the bottom or vice
versa. It's the display that provides no feedback of where you are and when
you've reached the boundaries.

Perhaps an equally good option would be simply having some sort of divider row
between the last and first rows so you can tell visually where the wraparound
is. Instead of having just an infinite expanse of channels.
