It's perfectly valid for a packet not to have a CRC. Some providers don't 
broadcast them, at least with certain packet types. If the packet doesn't have 
a CRC, it's assumed to be "clean", which it definitely should be, with the 
level of error-detection / correction in DVB. Not quite sure if a corrupted 
packet will get passed through, though.
