Yeah, more MFD's wont add to the metadata on the network.

As has been said before MFD is/was an experiment and is still evolving. 
So in the future we can make it better :)

PS, I patched the issue I found with it not removing the stale metadata 
in a simple patch on ticket: http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/1733
