Doesn't the bug report say that it's fixed in DBD::mysql 3.0002_5? Is
it really worth a workaround in the script when the fix is in the
updated version (especially when the bug only exists in a one or more
versions around 3.0002_4)? Does the workaround even work with the fixed
version or unaffected earlier versions of DBD::mysql?
