That's why I said change to a tuner with the same channel.  With the way
that LiveTV works now, you'd just end up with 2 files for the one show that
you are watching.  The LiveTV chain would handle playing through them and
the player doesn't care what tuner the shows were recorded off of.

This way your higher priority tuners are available for LiveTV but if a
recording needs to be done, the LiveTV session could get bumped to a
lower priority tuner with the same channel.  If no free tuner existed with
the same channel then the default action would be as it is now with a
possible new action added of "change LiveTV session to another tuner even
though I can't keep watching the current show because that channel isn't
available on the new tuner".
