The advertising gurus preach that, their stuff is pushed into your brain subconsciously. I found that I just switch off when adverts are on- get a bit of thinking time.
You should try it.

This is actually something that should be on the
-users list.

If you read the article, you'll notice that they're
asking the MSOs (the cable operators) to put the
feature in their particular PVR setups - not that
they're developing technology to thwart it.  Since
MythTV doesn't supply any PVR hardware/software to the
MSOs, it doesn't affect MythTV in the least.

If the commercials can't be skipped, then users will
do what I sometimes do when I'm watching something in
MythTV using the LiveTV feature - hit the bathroom or
get something from the kitchen, and then rewind back
if necessary.
