Anduin is doing a (very necessary) major cleanup of MythVideo ( 
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/209295#209295 ).  If 
his changes don't make this patch obsolete (i.e. provide the 
functionality itself or require a different implementation of this 
functionality), it will most likely be accepted.

But, on the bright side, whether it is or isn't, you can always apply it 
to your own tree yourself.  (In other words, patience...  ;)
