It's also by design. It's possible to have multiple cards
with different datasources that carry the same channels.
The channum is used here to identify the channel. The scheduler
can then decide to record your shows on whichever tuner is
available.

The best solution for your current problem is to renumber one of
the channels and then they won't be considered the same.
