Oh, I see.

Err, well yes I guess then that would work, but it's not a config I can 
easily test/develop.

Have you considered using Brutefir + 5 analogue/digital outputs going 
into your receiver?  If you are really pushed then you can get a Jack 
plugin to re-encode to AC3 once you have run it through Brutefir

This allows you to use BF to do all your bass management and also room 
correction on all 5 channels.  This is what I do in my setup, but what I 
do at the end is to spit everything out in analogue to a bunch of high 
power amps which are wired up directly to the PC.  I guess you have seen 
my system though?
