yes it will (I think, pretty sure).

the only problem is the guessing section which will of course not preserve 
any manual offset.
I have this bit commented out in my codebase.
havent had the problem since the rebaselining of the timecodes in avformat. 
probably unnecessary
tc_diffestimate still needs to be calculated of course.
