Agreed, not a serious error. In the mythtv-setup the channel numbers and 
channel names are editable. With the information of channels.conf aside 
(created with dvb-apps) I can edit those fields. After that I can switch 
channels by typing a number on a keyboard.

Yes. In the past few hours I figured out that versions 9034, 9075, 9200, 
9304 are returning human readable channel names. The first version with 
channel names like C14#1 and associated channel number 14#1 was 9305. 
Channel data from versions <9305 are readable in the current version 9313.
