Yes, I think it would be.  What I did was just support the existing sort 
orders as defined in qdir.h since the thumbnails are sorted through a QT 
call.  Checkout the include file for possible sort orders.  Unless 
iconview.cpp was totally rewritten to handle sorting itself I don't think 
sorting by EXIF header date can be supported.
