ugh, yes, I mean 1x, thats what I get for checking the list as a
"break" from "mindless" office work (ie brain dead to things that
require thought...)

so yes, 1x. And I've never owned a VCR that paused in that sequence,
they've all gone to play. Of course the last VCR I used was a 1997
Sony VHS deck (which I keep around for prosperity), and the one I'm
most used to is on of my dad's two Sony Beta decks, which still work,
and still make quality recordings. None of them paused. Maybe I'm just
a Sony brat... I guess this is why Myth has an options menu....
