For me the "watched" flag make sense only :
- if mythfrontend support the multiuser, I mean to be able
to log 1 or more user one the same frontend at the same time
(not sure that the multiuser Soc project goes in that way)
- If the list of recording is filtered on the flag, ie:
user1 want to watch show1 and show2
user2 have seen show1 and want to see show2
- If we can associate a recording shedule to 1 or more user
(a kind of "I want to watch" flag)
- If the autoexpired stuff take in account these informations.

If user1 only is logged, the list should contain show1 and
show2.
if user1 and user2 are logged, th list should contain show2
only (the only one that user 1 and 2 haven't seen yet)
Or maybe more restrictive, by showing only the "want to
watch" and not "watched" recording for all the user
currently logged in.
We record a lot of programs, and we don't have the same
shift, it's often happen that someone else already watch a
show I want to watch as well. With more than 100 recording
it's a bit tricky to remember which one I can delete or not
after seen it.

As long as mythtv don't support this kind of multiuser,
there is no point to add a "watched" as "expired" flag or
delete the record do the job.
Anyway , for me the flag "watched" make sense only in a
multiuser environement. We are 3 at home, and we record a
lot of programs. few of them, we all want to see them, some
other only two of us want to watch them. Unfortunaly we
don't have time to wath the TV at the same, the only benefit
of "watched" flag is for a particular user to infrom the
other that he already wathed it.

Regarding the way to flag a recording, the prompt method is
100% accurate :)

Regards,
Xavier
