I just meant the "NVP: Timed out waiting for free video buffers."
since i found some info for that message in the troubleshooting
section.   One of the solutions was to comment out  "load  glx"  in
the modules section of xorg.conf.   It worked!!  Whoohoo!!!   The
video is totally smooth. Thanks all for your efforts with mythtv.
FYI: The patch I sent before was made for/with checkout # 14097 of
mythtv-vid.
