Jarod,

This doesn't compile for me. I'm using FLAC 1.1.2 on an i386 system.

I think, from the note ate the bottom of 
http://flac.sourceforge.net/api/group__porting__1__1__2__to__1__1__3.html 
that the correct type is "size_t".
