Yes, it is the same one that i'm using. No difference. Also i'm using 
Firefox 1.5.0.9 if that should be a problem? And if i try in IE7 nothing 
happens at all when i press IMDB for a videofile.

Could i be missing something in php or perl?
Dont know if it is the same script thats is used, but searching IMDB in the 
VideoManager in MythTV works.
