This isn't quite true -- there has to date been no support for DVB-S2 in
any linux software that I'm aware of. The stuff which is sometimes
labeled DVB-S2 is just support for turbo 8PSK modulation for the benefit
of receiving certain proprietary HD signals in north america, but the
USB card which that driver supports does not implement the DVB-S2
standard -- and in fact, standard S2 cards don't implement all the
features required to tune the proprietary signals targeted by this
device. It really has nothing to do with DVB-S2.

The new DVB API (not released yet) was created to support the
considerable added complexity of DVB-S2. More mythtv code will be
required eventually, but the drivers and API aren't even there yet so
that's probably still a ways off.
