[mythtv] Backend hangups in r12594

 >=r12598 fixes TV playback for me (checked out r12601) but any use of
MythMusic is broken - I've had to go back to pre-r12578 (actually r12575
since its a nice round number!!) to get everything working again - apart
from the DVD fixes I was hoping to collect :-(

I guess is the (not unexpected) step back in order to make 2 forward...
