[mythtv] New hardware database?

Justin,

I like the idea of known working configurations, but finding the right
hardware is only half the battle. It would be very helpful to have
known working versions of the drivers for your audio, capture and remote
control devices. Ideally it would be great for a plugin/script that
would gather as much of this information as possible automatically and
submit it to the database. Much of it could be gathered from lspci, dmesg
and querrying the /proc interfaces.
