[mythtv] RFC: optional MythVideo gallery view

I'm thinking about fiddling with the gallery view in MythVideo to match my
usage patterns a little better.  The current view with folders is close to
what I want, but there are two things that don't quite work for me:

1) I don't like seeing just a bunch of folders on the top-level page (I've
got a lot of videos in a lot of folders)
2) I'd like to be able to filter my results by category (not directory) more
easily

Here's what I'm thinking:

- Totally optional mode - add a switch in the setup
- Add a column of text buttons along the left side a la MythGallery, each
representing a category
- Moving to the Left out of the Gallery lets you select your category
- Moving up and down the category list immediately filters the Gallery view
- No folders in the Gallery
- No subcategories (tree) in the categories
- Category list would include "all" and "uncategorized"
- Or, instead of one "uncategorized" button, create buttons based on folder
(So for that last one, if you had some new videos in your "DVD" directory
that you hadn't categorized yet, there would be a "folder: DVD" entry in the
category list.)

Thoughts/comments/suggestions?
