And further, just because some people can't record HDTV doesn't mean 
EVERYONE can't.

My SVN head MythTV system rarely is hit by this problem.  It is by no 
means non-functional.

If you want it fixed quicker, instead of complaining about the severity 
setting of the bug report, why don't you try debugging it?
