This was indeed the case - I caleaned out all the Makefiles and got
rid of the qt3 packages from my box and recompiled - unfortunately not
all of the mythplugins have been converted over to qt4 and so some of
them cause a fault on start up. Deleting the guilty parties from the
/usr/local/lib/mythtv/plugins directory allows things to start up.
