hi,
thank you for this hint :) looks like I can use the recoder to find out
what I am doing wrong.
Still I think I will try to implement a new transcoder that will take a
mpeg-ts, transcodes every contained stream and produces a new mpeg-ts
that looks as close as possible to the original one. Even seeking and
start transcoding from a selected position should be possible in case of
a recorded show.
I don't know yet, if this will work on streams that contain up to four
audio streams. I think there has to be an option to only transcode a
single audio stream.
If I watch a transcoded livetv stream (that's what i mainly want to do),
it would be nice, if the backend still stores the original stream (but
not the transcoded one, or even both?). But it should also be possible
to save the transcoded movie.
It might therefore be needed to implement the transcoding prior saving a
recording and also after reading the file prior streaming it to a
frontend. The User can then select if he wants to record or playback in
a different format.
