Well, as no one has answered I decided to answer myself :)
I discovered that's actually quite possible. One can fake whatever
device one wants by carefully adjusting the bluetooth underlying
characteristics and creating the required services. One example I found
is xkbd-bthid[1] that creates a virtual bluetooth keyboard.
I tested quickly and was able to make my PS3 pair with my notebook
thinking it's a keyboard.
My next step will be to translate IR commands my mythtv box receives
into keyboard commands that I'll send to my PS3.
I'm not sure if I'll go all the way to emulate the remote as the
keyboard should be enough and even more flexible.
