[mythtv] Testing for MythTv

Dear developers,

I'm looking forward to test MythTv, I've been looking on for some time
through the documents and
the mailing-list archives, but haven't seen any way to download the test
suites used for MythTv.

If there are any, I'd love to take a look at them and contribute to some
testing.

Also, for testing purposes, I was wondering if there is a way to mock or
abstract the hardware layer,
i.e. replacing some configuration properties to point to certain mock files?
