I haven't had the time to test this thoroughly,
but I suspect a fix in the MinGW specific part of
qmake is more likely to be accepted by TrollTech.

(e.g. qmake/generators/win32/mingw_make.cpp)



Now, if only I understood why the code is searching
in the VPATH for $${TARGET}.files :-(
