Perhaps I'm too old school, but to me a profile version implies
something compiled with "gcc -pg".  I still say it's mislabeled.

Yes, it's 32-bit.  I meant to ask if you were running 64-bit earlier.
That could explain why you didn't see the aspect ratio truncation
problem.
