In http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/4885#comment:17 , Daniel K. made 
the comment that the patch contains a license agreement that either a) 
contains a typo or b) makes the patch completely unusable within MythTV.

In http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/attachment/ticket/4885/4885-v5.patch in 
the file, mythtv/libs/libmythtv/rtl.cpp , the copyright statement says:

    Distributed as part of MythTV under the GPLv2, or at our option a
    later version of the GPL. See COPYING which should accompany this
    for details.


Notice how it says, "at *our* option."  For it to be included in MythTV, 
it must say, "at *your* option," where the "your" indicates the user's 
option to use a later version of the GPL, not the author's option.

Daniel could not just unilaterally change the copyright notice for your 
code, so he requested that the authors of the code do so.  They have not 
yet changed the copyright notice, so he closed the ticket.  If you are 
the author and have authority to make that change or you know the 
author/persons with that authority, please either make the change or 
convince them to do so, then reopen the ticket with a corrected patch.

If my understanding was incorrect, please feel free to correct me, 
Daniel.  Otherwise, I'm just hoping to save you a little time in responding.
