What surprises me most about these "debates" when they occur is the
the inability of some to empathise. No matter what the *individuals*
legal opinion is, whether correct or not, as I understand it the
developers are the ones that assume the risk not the users. I do not
think it is fair to ask the developers to assume that risk for you,
which is in effect what will happen.

You need to remember that ponies are not cheap to keep, feed and/or
agistment alone can send you broke. ;)

I think it is valuable that a open source project takes a lead in
this, corporates need to understand that open source is not the enemy.
If they chose to support, or provide explicit consent, for projects to
use their services then developers will be comfortable supporting
their services in a way that is agreeable by all by parties.
