As robert said, we should discuss here :)

What does your script configured with "preSDWUCheckCommand" ? does it
run the shutdown command ? I don't understand why the broadcast
message appears before the SBE replies OK to the MBE while checking if
it can shut down. the "shutdown -h +3" should only be configured in
the SleepCommand.

Could you please run the MBE and SBE with : -v
important,schedule,network,extra and send my back the full logs of
your MBE and SBE please ?
