No problem...

As you can guess my it's pretty important to non-English translators 
that the files are as in sync as possible because otherwise we end up 
with untranslated strings.

We have already quite a few untranslatable strings, let's not add 
possibly translatable strings to the list of untranslated strings...

I am also wondering what's the current position on submitting patches 
that update the themestrings.h since I know that in the past  at least 
some were refused and I'm wondering if the position on this has changed.

I'll have to do something similar to what you did since I more or less 
ended up being the maintainer of the en_us translation (in addition to 
being one of the maintainer of the fr translation) and I found a few 
places where the original untranslated string will have to be modified. 
If I submit a patch that updates some of  the themestring.h files, will 
it be accepted?
