I also use it fairly regularly:

I have 3 DVB-S cards which each are configured for a multirec of 2, so 6
logical tuners in total. Each card is connected to a 4-way LNB, so all
cards receive the same channels and thus have the same source list.

I have LiveTV configured to avoid conflicts with scheduled recordings (so
LiveTV picks the highest numbered available card).

If I'm watching LiveTV and decide I want to record this show, then that
tuner is locked to that multiplex. If I exit and go back to LiveTV, then
LiveTV selects the next available, which is the second card in the same
multirec. Now I can only watch channels that are on the same multiplex.

The only way I can get back to watching all channels is by using the input
list to manually select one of the other cards that is not recording...

Of course this could easily be fixed by making LiveTV a bit smarter about
what tuner to choose...
