I'm not one to comment on the specifics of the patch itself, but I would
suggest opening a patch ticket at http://code.mythtv.org/trac with your
patch attached which will get it into the tracking system for comment and/or
review.  I'd suggest using a unified diff patch as I believe that's what
will be asked for.
