Re MacOS X and the python bindings, is there a ticket?  AFAICT, the python bindings seem to build and yet mythplugins configure complains that they are missing. 

Regarding plugins and MacOS...MythGallery, MythNews, MythBrowser, MythVido, MythWeather and MythMusic should all work, right?  MythGame, MythZoneminder and MythNetVision won't.  What about MythArchive?  I search the archive and found references to getting it to _build_ on MacOS.  Can't find anything about it _running_ under OS X.

I'll add to the MythGallery bug report.  Selecting a photo or starting a slideshow results in a blank screen.  ALSO, I noticed that if I follow a link to a MythNews article, "?" is displayed instead of graphics.  I guess that means that the problem is not just in the plugin.
