Could you please start mythfrontend with -v audio,playback --loglevel debug
with airplay enabled and then quit.

Open a trac ticket (code.mythtv.org) with the entire output of mythfrontend
console..

That would help fixing the issue rather than by-passing it and not helping
the project as a whole.
