FWIW, I fixed this for myself years ago, but I was always a release or two too far behind to share it. Finally, I've got a new machine that I'm prepping to replace my current master backend and doesn't need to be pressed into service yet, so I can afford to iron out any kinks with the latest mythtv release.

Thanks for the offer, but here, for me, ad cutpoints rarely coincide
with desirable jump points :-) Others might find it a useful option,
though. I rarely bother to define custom chapters, because it's quite
time-consuming, but when I want to I can now usually make it work.

My version of mythburn.py has several tweaks too, although recently most
have been diagnostic aids. I still haven't merged in some of the recent
patches that have been committed but I don't expect to use. In general
it's good to have patches committed but if you're running a non-standard
system too much external movement can bring problems too.

I don't think the whiteintro version is shorter than standard; it just
makes less noise.

Cheers,

John
