It's your video (output) card that needs Xv support. The only 
thing you've shown up there ("video4linux") is your capture card. You 
need to have another adaptor listed for your video card like this: 

Adaptor #1: "NV10 Video Overlay" 
or 
Adaptor #1: "ATI Radeon Video Overlay"

where exactly is this added so that it shows up in xvinfo?
i've got an nvidia card so i'm assuming nv10 video overlay.
just not sure how to make this happen.
