[mythtv-users] MPlayer green boxes flash on screen...

My _guess_ (becuase I'm too lazy to read the code right now) is that
mythtranscode 'fixes' any missing/dropped frames (likely by just repeating
the previous frame).  When mplayer/mencoder hits the missing from in 
the original, it (again, just my _guess_) dies.  However, once you've filled
the holes with mythtranscode, it easily plays through the new frames.

Perhaps mplayer could be patched to gracefully handle missing frames
(if that is the actual problem)?
