[mythtv-users] need help on recovering files

I was playing with the transcoder and didn't realize it was leaving a trail
of xxx.nuv.old original recordings.  So the drive unexpectedly filled up
quickly while I was on vacation and autodeleter worked and deleted a lot of
.nuv files for me.

So fortunately I have a bunch of .nuv.old files left to watch, but when I
renamed them to .nuv, mythtv doesn't show them in the TV listings.  I
thought the .nuv files were a wrapper containing the program info so myth
would just pick them up, but that wasn't the case.

Is there any way I can recover these to watch them through mythtv?
