It cannot be. The config files for the kernels cannot simply be put
under /usr/src/linux.../.config, as there are a dozen different kernel
config files. You can find the config file of your installed kernels
under /boot/config-something. Also in the kernel-source package under
/usr/src/linux.../configs.

This is usual Red Hat practice and you need to copy (and rename) that
file to were you were expecting a .config file to like and run the
usual clean/config/dep/bzImage/modules & 2x install commands.

Now that's quite unfair. That's also the first report about
any supposedly non-stability of the ATrpms kernels I got.

If you want v4l2 support simply install an appropriate ATrpms
kernel. Nothing needs to be done on the kernel side anymore. Then go
tune your XF86Config to make use of it and use v4l2 drivers ...
