[mythtv-users] Problems with TV audio after upgrading to 0.11

Chris,

I'll tackle your second problem first... As best as I
can tell, the listings are taken from Zap2It, and they
use a listing provider number as an option (which the
tv_grab_na script uses). I believe that the actual
network names can be changed if you edit the XML file
that is created after you do step 3 of the "setup"
program.

For example, in my area, Zap2It lists TNN (now
SpikeTV) and something called SHOPNBC on the same
channel. This would cause me to have duplicate
listings on that channel (45), which was a bit of a
pain. So, after that XML file was created, prior to
running mythfilldatabase, I edited that file and
removed the SHOPNBC listing. From there, it
propagated itself in the the EPG (although tv_grab_na
spit out a warning, it didn't try to override
anything). That should help you with the station
names, but I don't know if that will take care of the
listings for the stations themselves, you can always
try it though (just make sure you have a clean
database for the channels).

Now then, for the audio... I'm not sure what's going
on with that. I know that on my TV, for instance, if
I don't supply a picture to go with the audio, the TV
won't play it. I don't think that's what is happening
in your case, but it's a bizarre example of the things
that can go wrong.

I wonder if perhaps you didn't update your database in
the upgrade and it's pulling a wrong audio value?
(Just a guess, I don't know if such a thing is
possible.)
