[mythtv-users] Audio stuttering

If you're using one sound card, it could be that your
sound card doesn't support full-duplex very well.

Myself, I had a problem with the CMI8738 on one of my
motherboards, and haven't tried using it on my new
motherboard. Yet, other people haven't had problems.

Try to get another sound card and see if you can use
it in full-duplex mode. Alternatively, you can use
two sound cards, one hooked up to your capture card,
one hooked up to the speakers. Another option is
getting btaudio to work with your capture card, if
it's supported (I can't help you with that, since my
card doesn't support btaudio that I know of).

Two cards that will work in full-duplex mode with both
OSS and ALSA drivers are the Creative Soundblaster 16
PCI (Ensoniq 137x chipset) and the Creative
Soundblaster Live (EMU10K1 chipset). I'm sure that
there are others.
