There's a problem w/lirc not liking the latest version of i2c patched
into the latest ATrpms kernels. Your options are:
1) Downgrade your kernel to an earlier ATrpms kernel
2) Switch to a different kernel that isn't patched w/i2c 2.8.0, but
does have v4l2 support
3) Patch the lirc source before you try to compile ( look here:
http://delvare.free.fr/i2c/ )
4) Give it a few days, because a pre-patched lirc binary rpm will be
made publicly available on ATrpms (I'm using it right now, giving it a
good testing shakedown)

Yes, Axel just updated the kernel, and I haven't got a new rev of that
howto posted yet. Apt has issues installing the right kernel modules
sometimes, so it is just grabbing the newest ones...

Won't work. :)

You could do that.

Actually, the stock Red Hat kernels can be made to work, but the nice
thing with the ATrpms kernels is that they are fully patched w/v4l2
support. The i2c patch isn't really necessary for MythTV.

I'd say give it a day or two. I haven't had any problems w/the lirc
rpm, so it ought to be going public shortly... I'll give Axel a shout
and see how soon we can have those posted up...

No, that would definitely not work.
