hi just type
uname -r
the output will be your kernel....
copy this
and replace the command
apt-get install ivtv-kmdl-$KERNEL
with apt-get install ivtv-kmdl-"YOUR COPIED OUTPUT OF UNAME -R"
now if in installs something you can go on with /sbin/depmode -a ...
have luck
