[mythtv-users] Which IVTV Version Works w/ MythTV 0.12?

How does one go about finding out which version of the ivtv drivers will 
work with which version of Myth (ie., 0.12 and subs)?  Over the last two 
months, I've tried to upgrade more than half a dozen times without any 
success whatsoever.  The result in each case has been corrupted files 
containing, as VirtualDubMod calls them, "discontinuous joins" - a second 
or so of video is missing here and there, with an additional first few 
seconds after each gap being extremely pixelated.  The audio is unaffected, 
so it gets progressively more and more out of sync after each glitch.  I 
even tried Myth 0.12 with Jens Axboe's ivtv-031118A-.0.12 and no-joy (same 
problem).  I've dug through both sets of mailing lists, but I haven't found 
the Rosetta Stone yet.

I'm currently running the mythtv cvs from 9/20, and the ivtv cvs from 
08/09.  That's the most recent I can get to work, and it works perfectly 
(excepting the known bugs from back then).  FWIW, I have two Freestyle's in 
an Athlon XP 1800+ running RH9.  Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
