[mythtv-users] Too many ways to turn automatic transcoding on?

Why are there 2 ways to turn automatic transcoding after recording on? I
can do:

Recoding Profiles->Software Encoders->Default->Automatically transcode
after recording  

AND

Recoding Profiles->Transcoders->RTjpeg/MPEG4->Automatically transcode
after recording

Why of these actually turns on automatic transcoding after recording?
What's the other checkbox for?
