[mythtv-users] PVR 350 & Ivtv question(s)

Trying to sort things out here as to why I get no capture (right now trying with xawtv, first before myth)
 
When I compiled the ivtv drivers, tuner wasn't getting built.  After checking the docs it said bttv (bt848) had to be compiled as a mod in the kernel for tuner to be built.  Did that and tuner.o was compiled.
 
I'm not sure if bttv is supposed to be loading or not.  It's not in my /etc/modules.conf, if I modprobe - it fails with a "no such device" yet the driver exists in .../drivers/mdiea/video
Checking dmesg / syslog - i get 4 sets of 2 lines :
bttv: driver version 0.7.107 loaded
bttv: using 4 buffers with 2080k (8320k total) for capture
